11月24日，第五届加拿大东部地区最大乒乓球锦标赛将在圣玛丽大学Homburg Centre举行。上午九时，中国驻加大使代表和哈法国会议员将莅临开幕式。
据悉，本届选手除了有来自加东地区的24个团体，更别出心裁地新增6个家庭组。旨在发扬体育精神，增强竞赛的多元化和社区化；同时，以竞赛为平台和桥梁，不断增强加拿大大西洋沿岸地区新华人和老华人、华人社区和本地社区、乃至加东和整个加国之间的联系。本届比赛800余位观众将在开幕式当天目睹精彩的各类大型表演，并有机会成为幸运观众，获得现场总共高达$1,000现金及代金券。
作为本届比赛组织者的加东乒乓球协会（Atlantic Canada Ping Pong Association, 简称ACPPA），是一家非盈利公益组织，至今为止已成功举办了四届加东地区乒乓球锦标赛。通过举办乒乓球赛事，协会在四年时间里将乒乓球发展成为本地华人社区最受欢迎最热门的室内运动之一。
据悉，本届锦标赛的主要赞助商President‘s Choice Financial和Sun Life Financial将有金融专家现场为个人提供金融建议和就业指导。此外，超过30家本地大学、企业和商家，包括CBANS, CSNS, HKCBA,NSTTA, SMUCSA,DALCSA为本届赛事提供了人力和资金支持。

Atlantic Table Tennis Cup Ping Pong Tournament
On November 24th 2013, President’s Choice Financial Atlantic Table Tennis Cup Ping Pong Tournament will be held at Homburg Centre, Saint Mary's University at 9:00 AM. This tournament is aiming to promote sports spirit and to provide a platform for competition and communication for multicultural, new comers and local communities in Atlantic Canada region.
Atlantic Canada Ping Pong Association (ACPPA) is the main organizer of the tournament. As a non-political and non-profit organization, ACPPA has been successfully held the previous four tournaments and promoted table tennis to become the most popular indoor activity among local community as well as the general public of Atlantic Provinces. This year, ACPPA is much honored to have President’s Choice Financial to be our new Title Sponsor and get continuous supports from Sub Title Sponsor Sun Life Financial、Co-organizers like CBANS、CSNS、HKCBA、NSTTA、SMUCSA and DALCSA.
The big anticipations of 2013 tournament are: 24 invited teams from various provinces across Atlantic Canada region will compete in the tournament; 6 invited family teams (children and their parents play as same team) are adding variety to our game, building stronger bond in families, and exhibiting stronger connection between ACPPA and local community; Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Canada will give speech on the Opening Ceremony as well as other distinguished guests like Mr. Geoff Regan (M.P. Halifax West); Very exciting opening performances and big door prizes prepared for the audiences, etc. With an expectation of over 800 audiences will come to the tournament, the volunteer team (other than volunteer umpires) is very strong this year. We have around 50 students participating in the volunteer services. Also, there are more than 30 local business and companies sponsor this big annual tournament.
With five years development, ACPPA believes we have accumulated sufficient experience to organize a memorable tournament in November. Thank you for your kind attention and we are looking forward to see you on the scene for this exciting tournament.
